Yesterday marked 3 years of our new lives. It was

Yesterday marked 3 years of our new lives.
It was the anniversary of Cody’s snow mobile accident.
I didn’t post anything yesterday because I honestly didn’t know what to say. There are so many emotions and feelings felt around this date and to try to put them into words is a challenge, but I want to try…
To say the last 3 years have been hard, would be an absolute understatement. It has truly beat us up, tested us, challenged us, and sometimes just left us alone to navigate these new waters by ourselves.
As I watched this video that I made 3 years ago, I was reminded that as hard as this has been for me; it’s had to have been nearly impossible for Cody. From day one he has pushed himself beyond what everyone thought possible and he is where he is today in his recovery because he got up everyday and kicked ass!
The external wounds have definitely healed but our internal wounds are still healing and might be for a long time.
Cody is currently on his annual “accident anniversary backpacking trip” proving to himself that he can still do what he used to :)
Cheers to 3 years of LIFE 🥂
